Use Power Button under Start Menu to Shut Down the System instead of sleeping mode

In Windows Vista when you press power button under Start Menu the system goes to sleep mode instead of Shut Down. Microsoft configured the power button under Start Menu to go into Sleep Mode by default instead turning off your PC. To shut down the PC you need to do more effoert than only clicking on Power Button under Start Menu.

But if you want to change the Power Buttton to Shut Down your pc then there is a solution and beleive, it is so simple:

1. Open the Control Panel and click on Power Options or Click on Power Icon on System pane at right side and click on More Power Option.

2. Select the Power Plan that you want to use and click on Change plan settings.

3. Click on Change advanced power settings, double click on Power buttons and lid.

4. Double click on Start menu power button and change the setting to Shutdown.

5. Click on OK. Now use the Power Button under Start Menu to Shut Down the System.

Open Task Manager in Vista

In Windows Vista when someone press Ctrl+Alt+Del, instead of starting Task Manager, it opens the welcome screen to choose option. It seems cumbersome when we want to open Task Manager.
But it is not the matter to loose hope. There is a key combination which makes the work easier. Just press ctrl+shift+esc and bingo! Task Manager is opened.
It worked in Windows earlier versions and in Vista too.

Orkut with terrorists ???

On Orkut, a very popular social networking site in India and some other countries like Brazile, porn and anti nation profiles are very common but now you can see so many terrorist profiles here with clear message for jehad and terrorism activites. I don't know whether it is illigal or not or how google or orkut manage to let them run on the site but all the profiles and their messages are very offensive.
The site is intentionaly used for spreading the offensive messages to the people and find out the persons with same aim that is terror or jehad. I provide you some profiles links which I found when searched for jehad:

When you see their scraps, you can clearly understand these profiles are creating a network and correspond with each other. I can't able to tell you about law and IT Act but it is very clear that Google is indirectly promoting international terrorism by allowing terrorists to create a network and correspond with each other.

If you moniter these profiles and scrapes on regular basis, you can find out a lot of informations and details about them and their plan and so the police and vigilence.

Shut Down Vista with key Board

Do you remember friends, In indows XP it was a handy game to shut down the system by pressing Windows key with U twice... In Vista, however, it is complicated than ever even when you want to shut down using mouse cursor. What if you can shut down the vista using keyboard only??????

Ya!!!! its simple....

Just press windows key and then right arrow key thrice and hit the Enter key...

Wow!!! Your system is going to be shut down.

NTLDR Missing

I have Windows XP installed on my system.

Now when I start my Computer it display the error message:

NTLDR is Missing

Press any key to restart

How can I start the system without reinstalling the OS????

It is the common error messege user get and the system haults. This messege displayed when computer is restarted and there are many remedies for it, depending upon the very cause. Many a times, however, the problem is due to curropt or missing NTLDR and ntdetect.com files.

In this case most of the time they have to format and/or reinstall the Windows XP software, but we have some more options to try...

Boot your system with Windows XP bootable cd and press 'R' at Windows XP Setup Menu to repair window.
Log on to the system as Administrator by pressing 1 and provide the password when asked.
At command prompt write the command to copy the files as follows:

copy g:\i386\ntldr c:\ /-Y
copy g:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\ /-Y

(Assuming that CD ROM drive letter is 'G' and system drive is 'C', make changes if necessary)

Type the following command, and then press ENTER:

bootcfg /rebuild

Follow the remaining steps to add your Windows XP installation to the boot.ini file.
The first prompt asks Add installation to boot list? (Yes/No/All).
Type Y in response to this question and press Enter.
The next prompt asks you to Enter Load Identifier:.
This is the name of the operating system. type Windows XP Professional and press Enter.
The final prompt asks you to Enter OS Load options:.
Type /Fastdetect here and press Enter.
restart the system.
              If it doesn't get you back then try
                        fixboot
                        fixmbr
Restart the system without CD.
I hope the system is working now
